Mulching film is a 21 micron virgin HDPE film for laying over prepared beds. It suppresses weeds, conserves soil moisture and moderates soil temperature at the root zone.
Virgin polymer at a stated micron is what determines whether a film survives a full crop cycle or tears during laying. Recycled film at an unstated thickness is the common false economy.
